Let \(\pi\) be a set of primes. A subgroup \(H\) of a finite group \(G\) is said to be \(\pi\)-S-permutable in \(G\) if \(H\) permutes with every Sylow \(q\)-subgroup of \(G\) for all primes \(q\in\pi\). If \(\pi=\Pi\), the set of all primes, then \(H\) is called S-permutable in \(G\) and if \(\pi=\pi(G)\setminus\pi(H)\), \(H\) is said S-semipermutable in \(G\). The main results of this paper is to establish structural theorems about the normal closure of \(\pi\)-S-permutable subgroups and \(p\)-subgroups permuting with all \(p'\)-subgroups for a single prime \(p\). These results are related to a recent article by \textit{I. M. Isaacs} [Arch. Math. 102, No. 1, 1-6 (2014; Zbl 1297.20018)].
