Asymptotic behavior of varying discrete Jacobi-Sobolev orthogonal polynomials (Q5964614)

The authors study the asymptotic behavior of sequences of polynomials orthogonal with respect to varying Sobolev inner product. The weight function which is involved in the varying inner product is the Jacobi weight. Theyexpose properties of the above polynomials and establish the Mehler-Heine asymptotics for these polynomials, deduce the asymptotic behavior of their zeros and also give information about the location of the zeros. Finally, they illustrate the results on the zeros with some numerical experiments.
