Consider for a given continuous function \(f\) and constants \(r_1,r_2\geq0\) the Hadamard fractional type weakly singular integral operator \[ (Nu)(x,y)=\mu(x,y)+{1\over\Gamma(r_1)\Gamma(r_2)}\int_1^ x\int_1^ y \Bigl(\log{x\over s}\Bigr)^{r_1-1}\Bigl(\log{y\over t}\Bigr)^{r_2-1} {f(s,t,u(s,t))\over st}\,dt\,ds \] for \((x,y)\in J=[1,a]\times[1,b]\). Assuming that \(f\) is bounded by a sufficiently small constant, the existence of a continuous function \(v\) satisfying \(v=Nv\) is shown by using Schauder's fixed point theorem. Given a nonnegative function \(\Phi\), it is also shown under similar assumptions (now involving \(\Phi\)) that there is a constant \(c\) such that for every \(v\) as above and every continuous \(u\) satisfying \(| u(x,y)-(Nu)(x,y)|\leq\Phi(x,y)\) on \(J\) there holds \(| u(x,y)-v(x,y)|\leq c\Phi(x,y)\) on \(J\). This implies what is called ``generalized Ulam-Hyers-Rassias stable'' in the paper, i.e., that for every continuous \(u\) satisfying \(| u(x,y)-(Nu)(x,y)|\leq\Phi(x,y)\) on \(J\) there exists some \(v\) with the above properties.
