The authors study the leading-edge contamination is the disturbance of the boundary layer of a swept wing by vortex shedding caused by the fuselage. The full Navier-Stokes equations are solved by a compact spectral scheme for a convecting or stationary vortex outside the boundary layer. The flow is investigated for 8 different scenarios (subcritical and supercritical). This gives a quantitative measure for leading-edge contamination.
