The authors presented the symmetric and non-symmetric interior penalty discontinuous Galerkin methods with bilinear IFE. These methods can be used to solve interface problems of second order elliptic partial differential equations by Cartesian meshes. The experiments performed are very interesting and can be useful for researchers working on Galerkin problems.
