Let \(\mathbb{H}\) denote the division ring of quaternions and let \(X\) be a right \(\mathbb{H}\)-linear space endowed with some norm \(\| \cdot \|\). If \(X\) is complete with respect to the metric induced by the norm \(\|\cdot \|\), then it is called right quaternionic Banach space. In that case, the dual space \(X^{\prime}\), the class of right linear bounded functionals on \(X\) is a left quaternionic Banach space. It follows that if \(T\) is a right linear bounded operator on \(X\) then \(T^{\ast} \colon X^{\prime} \to X^{\prime}\) defined by \[ T^{\ast}(f)(x) = f(Tx),\; \text{ for all }\; f \in X^{\prime} \] is a left linear bounded operator. In this article, the authors describe various relations between null space and range spaces of the corresponding right linear bounded operator \(T\) on \(X\) and the adjoint \(T^{\ast}\) which is a left linear bounded operator on the dual space \(X^{\prime}\) using the notion of orthogonality. Theses results are presented in a systematic manner in this paper, which can be viewed as a quaternionic analogue of well known results from the classical Banach space theory. The authors, studied various properties of the \(S\)-spectrum [\textit{F. Colombo} et al., J. Funct. Anal. 254, No. 8, 2255--2274 (2008; Zbl 1143.47012)] of right linear bounded operators on quaternionic Banach space and describe the subdivision of the \(S\)-spectrum namely, the approxminate \(S\)-spectrum, the compression \(S\)-spectrum and the surjective \(S\)-spectrum. It is shown that the \(S\)-spectrum of right linear bounded opearator \(T\) on \(X\) is same as the union of the approximate \(S\)-spectrum and the surjective \(S\)-spectrum of \(T\).
