The main components of any predator-prey models are, firstly, how the different population classes grow and secondly, how the prey and predator interacts. In this paper, logistic laws are used for describing the growth rates of both prey and predator, and the carrying capacity of the predator is assumed to depend on the available amount of prey. The aim of this paper is to consider the relationship between predator-prey model and prey dependent functional and numerical responses to clarify a plausible model that can account the predator interference. Significant real-world data were collected in Canada and compared with numerical simulations to validate the effectiveness of the mathematical model based on Holling type II.
