The authors study complete hypersurfaces \(M^{n}\) with constant scalar curvature \(n(n-1)\) in the unit sphere \(\mathbb{S}^{n+1}\). They are inspired by the result of \textit{Y. Li} et al. [Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 44, No. 4, 401--416 (2013; Zbl 1292.53023)], who studied a locally conformally flat complete hypersurface \(M^{n}\) \((n\geq 3)\) in \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\) under certain conditions and concluded that \(M^{n}\) must be a hyperplane. In this paper, the authors prove almost the same result, but for \(M^{n}\) in the unit sphere \(\mathbb{S}^{n+1}\).
