    The authors consider the linear scalar integro-differential equation \[ x'(t)=\int_0^t v(ds)x(t-s)+f(t),~t\geq 0,x(0)=\psi, \] where \(v\) is a Borel finite measure. The following statement is the main result of the paper. Theorem. Let \(x\) be the solution of the equation and suppose that \(r\in L^1 [0,\infty)\), where \(r\) is the resolvent function. Then for \(p \geq 1\), the following conditions are equivalent: \[ \left\|\int_{\cdot}^{\cdot +\xi} f(s) ds \right\|_{L^p[0,\infty)}<\infty \qquad \xi \in (0,1], \] and \[ x(\cdot,\xi)\in L^p[0,\infty) \qquad \forall \xi \in \mathbb{R}. \]
