According to the Gabriel theorem, each elementary finite-dimensional algebra \(A\) over a field \(k\) is isomorphic to a quotient of the path algebra \(kQ_A\) of the finite (ordinary) quiver \(Q_A\) of \(A\). By \textit{F. Li} [in J. Aust. Math. Soc. 83, No. 3, 385-416 (2007; Zbl 1156.16015)], the notion of the natural quiver of an Artinian algebra was introduced, and then the Gabriel theorem was generalized to non-basic Artinian algebras splitting over radicals via the new notion of pseudo path algebras. In this paper, first the authors consider the relationship between the natural quiver and the ordinary quiver of a finite-dimensional algebra over a field. Then they obtain the generalized Gabriel theorem for radical-graded Artinian algebras. Moreover, Gabriel-type algebras are introduced to outline those Artinian algebras satisfying the generalized Gabriel theorem in this paper and in [loc. cit.]. Finally, it is shown that, for an Artinian algebra, there are two basic algebras, the first is that associated to the algebra itself, and the second is that associated to the corresponding generalized path algebra, and moreover for a Gabriel-type Artinian algebra, the first basic algebra is a quotient of the second basic algebra. The authors suggest that using natural quivers may eliminate some of the shortcomings of ordinary quivers and AR-quivers over non-basic algebras.
