The improved two-dimensional model of composite multilayer shells with transversely soft core is constructed. The model is based on a refined Timoshenko shear model for bearing layers of shells and on the hypothesis about the displacements laws through the thickness of the core. On this base, the equations of the model were derived. The generalized Lagrange and Ostrogradsky-Hamilton variational principles also were used. A simplification of the constructed equations is carried out.
