If \(\mathfrak{X}\) is a class of finite groups, then \(\operatorname{char} \mathfrak{X}\) is the set of orders of all simple abelian groups in \(\mathfrak{X}\) and \(\pi(\mathfrak{X})\) is the set of all primes dividing the orders of the groups in \(\mathfrak{X}\). Let \(\mathfrak{X}\) be a class of finite simple groups with the property \(\operatorname{char}(\mathfrak{X})=\pi(\mathfrak{X})\). \textit{P. Förster} [Publ., Secc. Mat., Univ. Autòn. Barc. 29, No. 2--3, 39--76 (1985; Zbl 0588.20015)] introduced the concept of \(\mathfrak{X}\)-local formation in order to obtain a common extension of the well-known Gaschütz-Lubeseder-Schmid and Baer theorems. The main result of the paper under review is that every law that is true in the lattice of all formations is also true in the lattice of \(\mathfrak{X}\)-local formations. As a corollary, the author regains the fact (proved by the author himself in [J. Algebra Appl. 20, No. 3, Article ID 2150043, 8 p. (2021; Zbl 1506.20031)]) that the lattice of all \(\mathfrak{X}\)-local formations is modular.
