A special \(p\)-group satisfying some additional properties, is called a Gol'fand \(p\)-group. Such \(p\)-groups appeared for the first time in \textit{Yu. A. Gol'fand}'s known paper [Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR, N. Ser. 60, 1313-1315 (1948; Zbl 0036.29402)] on minimal nonnilpotent groups. It is proved that if a Sylow \(p\)-subgroup of a \(p\)-solvable group \(G\) is a Gol'fand \(p\)-group, then the \(p\)-length of \(G\) is \(1\), unless \(p=3\) and \(G\) has a section of order \(216\) (I think that this section is isomorphic to \(\text{ASL}(2,3)\), the affine special linear group of degree \(2\) over the field \(\text{GF}(3)\)). The author does not prove that the exceptional case really appears.
