The shape optimization for the Navier-Stokes fluids is considered. The paper is related with the concept of \(\Gamma\) convergence, to study the behavior of the solutions corresponding to a sequence of domains converging to the optimal one. The Mosco convergence is recalled, related with some recent results. The paper is focused on the fluids situated between isothermal and isentropic case, still open up to now. The limit Sobolev imbedding theorem is used. A general barotropic fluid is studied, with a large density. The subject is related with the industrial problem of an optimal wing which minimizes the drag reaction of the surrounding fluid.
