Modular Nori motives (Q6067392)

The first and the third authors write: ``This paper contains a previously unpublished note from 2020. After Yuri Ivanovich Manin passed away in January 2023, the coauthors decided to maintain the text in its original form, without changes or additions''. This short paper is designed to refine the authors' work [\textit{N. C. Combe} et al., ``Dessins for modular operad and Grothendieck-Teichmuller group'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2006.13663}] by passing from the combinatorics of strata to Nori motives of the strata of modular spaces as in [\textit{Y. I. Manin} and \textit{M. Marcolli}, Math. Comput. Sci. 14, No. 1, 77--102 (2020; Zbl 1464.18002)]. In the last section of this note the authors discuss a possible relation of their work to the Bost-Connes quantum statistical mechanical system.
