Consider the planar polynomial system \[ \begin{array}{l} \frac{{dx}}{{dt}}= y, \\ \frac{{dy}}{{dt}} = -x + b_{20}x^2+b_{11}xy+b_{02}y^2+b_{30}x^3+b_{21}x^2y+b_{12}xy^2+b_{03}y^3 \end{array}\tag{1} \] having the origin as singular point. \textit{I. S. Koukless} derived in [C. R. (Dokl.) Acad. Sci. URSS, n. Ser. 42, 208--211 (1944; Zbl 0063.03332)] conditions on the real coeffecients such that the origin is a center. The authors call the origin a global center if \(R^2\setminus\{0\}\) is filled with closed orbits surrounding the origin. They derive 7 sets of conditions on the coefficients such that the origin is a global center. Additionally they determine the global phase portraits in the Poincaré disc via Poincaré compactification.
