    The paper is concerned with the reaction-diffusion parabolic problem \[ \begin{aligned} \frac{u_t}{\vert x\vert ^2}+\nu \Delta u_t+\Delta_{m(x)}u=k(t)\vert u\vert ^{p(x)-2}u,\quad & \text{in }\Omega\times (0,T),\\ u(x,t)=0,\quad & \text{if }(x,t)\in \partial \Omega\times (0,T),\\ u(x,0)=u_0(x),\quad & \text{if } x\in\Omega, \end{aligned} \] where \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^d\) \((d\in \mathbb{N},\,\,d\ge 3)\) is an open bounded set with Lipschitz boundary \(\partial \Omega\), \(\nu>0\), \(T>0\), the variable exponent \(p(\cdot)\) and the function \(m(\cdot)\) are continuous on \(\overline{\Omega}\), \(k\in C^1[0,\infty)\), \(u_0\in W_0^{1,m(\cdot)}(\Omega)\cap L^{p(\cdot)}(\Omega)\), and \(\Delta_{m(x)}u={\operatorname{div}}(\vert \nabla u\vert ^{m(x)-2}\nabla u)\). Under some assumptions on the functions \(p,\,m\) and \(k\), the authors prove some upper and lower bounds for the blow-up time of the weak solutions to the above problem.
