Let \(k\) be a field, and let \(K = k^{\oplus t}\) for some \(t\). Let \(A\) be a finite dimensional complete typical \(K\)-algebra. Say that \(A\) is \textit{\(d\)-symmetric} if it is quasi-isomorphic to its linear dual after a degree shift of \(d\). A Gerstenhaber algebra is \textit{Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV)} if it carries a differential whose failure to be a derivation gives the Gerstenhaber bracket. The Hochschild cohomology of an associative algebra is always a Gerstenhaber algebra, and is sometimes a BV algebra. The authors show that if \(A\) is \(d\)-symmetric (or, under an additional hypothesis, \textit{derived \(d\)-symmetric}), then (Theorems 4.6 and 4.7) the Hochschild cohomology of the Koszul dual \(A^{\dag}\) of \(A\) is a BV algebra, and is isomorphic as a BV algebra to the Hochschild cohomology of \(A\) itself (which was already known to be BV). Along the way they show (Theorem 4.1) that under the same hypotheses \(A^{\dag}\) itself is \(d\)-Calabi-Yau.
