    The paper discusses the parabolic BMO. Let \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) be a domain, \(T>0\), \(-1<\gamma<1\), \(-\gamma\leq\delta<1\) and \(0<q<\infty\). A function \(f\in L^q_{\mathrm{loc}}(\Omega_T)\) belongs to \(\text{PBMO}^+_{\{\gamma, \delta,q\}}(\Omega_T)\) if \[ \|f\|_{\text{PBMO}^+_{\{\gamma, \delta,q\}}(\Omega_T)}=\sup_{\Omega_T}\inf_{c\in \mathbb{R}} \big( \fint_{R^+(\gamma)} (f-c)_+^q+ \fint_{R^-(\delta)} (f-c)_-^q \big )^{1/q}<\infty. \] The paper has the following double purposes. \begin{itemize} \item[1.] To discuss several versions of the John-Nirenberg inequality for parabolic BMO. Based on a Calderón-Zygmund decomposition in the \(p\)-geometry, the authors give an exponential bound for the mean oscillation in terms of integral averages. \[ |R^+(\alpha)\cap\{(f-c_R)_+>\lambda\}|\leq e^{-B(\lambda/\|f\|)^q}\frac{A}{\|f\|^q}\int_{R^+(\gamma)} (f-c_R)_+^q \] and \[ |R^-(\alpha)\cap\{(f-c_R)_->\lambda\}|\leq e^{-B(\lambda/\|f\|)^q}\frac{A}{\|f\|^q}\int_{R^-(\gamma)} (f-c_R)_-^q \] It's interesting that the consequence of John-Nirenberg inequality is a weak reverse Hölder inequality for parabolic BMO, and this implies that a function in parabolic BMO is locally integrable to any positive power. \item[2.] To find a necessary and sufficient condition for a global parabolic John-Nirenberg inequality. The authors give the characterization of the domains on which the parabolic John-Nirenberg lemma holds globally. A domain \(\Omega\) satisfies the quasihyperbolic boundary condition if and only if there exist \(\delta>0\) and \(c\in\mathbb{R}\) such that \[ \fint_{\Omega\times(\tau_2,T)}e^{\delta (f-c)_+/\|f\|}\leq 2 \] and \[ \fint_{\Omega\times(0,\tau_1)}e^{\delta (f-c)_-/\|f\|}\leq 2. \] John-Nirenberg inequalities for the median-type parabolic BMO are also obtained. \end{itemize}
