Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with \(A(R)\) its set of all annihilating-ideals. The annihilating-ideal graph, denoted by \(AG(R),\) with vertex set \(A(R)^*=A(R)\setminus \{0\}\) and two vertices \(I_1\) and \(I_2\) are adjacent if and only if \(I_1I_2 = 0.\) In parallel to the notion of extended zero-divisor graph of commutative rings, the notion of annihilating ideal graph has been extended in this paper. The extended annihilating-ideal graph of \(R,\) denoted by \(\overline{AG}(R),\) is an undirected graph with vertex set \(A(R)^*\) and two vertices \(I_1\) and \(I_2\) are adjacent if and only if \(I^m_1I^n_2 = 0\) with \(I^m\neq 0\) and \(I^n\neq 0\) for some positive integers \(m\) and \(n.\) In this paper, authors study some basic properties of \(\overline{AG}(R)\) and then they investigate the relationship between the extended annihilating-ideal graph \(\overline{AG}(R),\) the annihilator-ideal graph \(A)I(R)\) and the annihilating-ideal graph \(AG(R)\) of a commutative ring \(R.\)
