The authors consider the infinite network of Kuramoto phase oscillators given by \[ \dot{\theta}_i=\nu_i+\sum_{j\in\mathbb{N}}\kappa_{ij}\sin{(\theta_j-\theta_i)} \] where \[ \sup_{i\in\mathbb{N}}\sum_{j\in\mathbb{N}}\kappa_{ij}<\infty \] For the case \(\nu_i=\nu\) for all \(i\) and \(\kappa_{ij}=\kappa_{ji}\) they show that the network eventually reaches complete synchronization, defined as \(\dot{\theta}_i=\dot{\theta}_j\) for all \(i,j\). For the heterogeneous case of not all \(\nu_i\) being equal, they show that, under certain assumptions on initial values of phases and values of \(\kappa_{ij}\), all phases eventually enter an arc smaller than \(\pi/2\) (``practical synchronization''). As a second case they consider \(\kappa_{ij}=\kappa_j\), where \(\sum_{j\in\mathbb{N}}\kappa_j=1\). For \(\nu_i=0\) they show that the network approaches complete synchronization, and that in this state either all phases are identical, or they form two clusters, i.e.~the difference between any two phases is either zero or \(\pi\). For a heterogeneous network, if the initial phases are confined to a half circle, the network eventually reaches complete synchronization.
