The authors consider an inverse heat transfer problem with Stefan-Boltzmann conditions in a three dimensional multilayer geometry. An explicit finite difference method is used for the numerical simulation of the problem. An iterative algorithm is developed and the error in temperature is computed at the interface of the first layer. The error increases with the increase of the initial data. The method appears to be effective for a reasonable guess of the width estimates.
