This paper studies consensus manipulation in social network group decision making with value-based opinion evolution. The total value of an individual in a network consists of two parts, intrinsic value and network value, and it defined the network value based upon the numbers and distances of their direct and indirect neighbors in the network. The total value of an individual is not assumed to be a linear combination of intrinsic and network values. The paper develops a value-based opinion evolution model in which the trust weights in the DeGroot model are distributed based on individuals' values in the network. An optimization-based consensus manipulation model is used to obtain the desired consensus solution. The paper also performs a sensitivity analysis of the individuals' values in the network and a comparative analysis to signpost the advantages of the proposed approach.
