This paper is the third part of a series, the first two [Algebr. Represent. Theory 25, No. 6, 1559--1610 (2022; Zbl 07721407); Represent. Theory 24, 323--359 (2020; Zbl 1462.22003)] of which study semisimple characters for inner forms of \(p\)-adic classical groups (including type A). Let \(\mathrm{G}\) be a quaternionic form of a \(p\)-adic classical group with \(p\) odd, and let \(\mathbf{C}\) be an algebraically closed field of charactersitic distinct from \(p\). The following elegant classification is proved in this paper. \begin{itemize} \item[1.] Every irreducible cuspidal \(\mathbf{C}\)-representation of \(\mathrm{G}\) is induced by a cuspidal type. \item[2.] If \((\lambda, \mathrm{ J})\) is a cuspidal type, then \(\mathrm{ind}^{\mathrm{G}}_{\mathrm{J}}\lambda\) is irreducible cuspidal. \item[3.] Two intertwining cuspidal types \((\lambda, \mathrm{J})\) and \((\lambda', \mathrm{J}')\) are up to equivalence conjugate in \(\mathrm{G}\) if and only if they intertwine in \(\mathrm{G}\). \end{itemize} Needless to say, these fundamental results are very important for the representation theory of inner forms of \(p\)-adic classical groups. Despite of the length and technical nature of the paper, the details for the sophisticated type theory are clearly presented.
