Let \(\mathcal{X}\) be Banach space and let \(B(\mathcal{X})\) denote the algebra of operators. In [\textit{C. Gu}, Stud. Math. 226, No. 3, 189--211 (2015; Zbl 1316.47021)] we found the following conjecture: given operators \(S_{i},T_{i}\in B(\mathcal{X})\), \(i=1,2\), \((S_{1}\otimes S_{2},T_{1}\otimes T_{2})\) is strict \(m\)-isometric if and only if there exist positive integers \(m_{i}\), \(i=1,2\), and a scalar \(c\neq 0\) such that \(m=m_{1}+m_{2}-1\), \((S_{1},cT_{1})\) is strict \(m_{1}\)-isometric and \((S_{2},\frac{1}{c}T_{2})\) \(m_{2}\)-isometric. In the present paper, the authors give an operator theoretic proof of this conjecture. The proof was made by exploiting the algebraic properties of the left and the right multiplication operators \(L_{A}\) and \(L_{B}\).
