In this paper, the author confirms the following two conjectures studied in his papers [with \textit{T. Kepka}, Math. Slovaca 66, No. 5, 1059--1064 (2016; Zbl 1399.16118)] and [Semigroup Forum 95, No. 2, 293--302 (2017; Zbl 1453.16052)] respectively, under an extra assumption that \(S\) has unity: Conjectures. Let \(S\) be a finitely generated commutative semiring. Then, \begin{itemize} \item[i.] the semigroup \(S(+)\) is idempotent if and only if it is divisible. \item[ii.] the semigroup \(S(+)\) is torsion if and only if it is almost-divisible. \end{itemize}
