This is an extraordinarily learned paper, which, on the one hand establishes -- based on the annotations in Greek made on them, which were identified as being Commandino's by handwriting analysis -- the individual Greek manuscripts used by Federico Commandino for his 1566 Latin translation of Apollonius' \textit{Conics}, which ``includes Eutocius' commentary, some lemmas taken by Pappus (\textit{Collection VII}), and two Books by Serenus,'' and on the other hand points out the frequent use Commandino made of ``the work of Apollonius to clarify the most difficult passages of Archimedes' books, published in the 1558 edition (\textit{Archimedis opera non nulla})'' and the importance of Commandino's translation ``for all the protagonists of the scientific revolution: Kepler, Galileo, Descartes, Cavalieri, Pascal, and Huygens''.
