    P. Hall proved that any finitely generated metabelian group is residually finite. A group \(G\) is called \textit{residually finite with respect to conjugacy} if any two elements \(x,y \in G\) are conjugate if and only if they are conjugate in every finite homomorphic image of \(G\). A group \(G\) is called \textit{residually finite with respect to occurence in \(n\)-generated subgroups} if for every \(n\)-generated subgroup \(H\) in \(G\) and every \(x\notin H\), there exists a homomorphism with a finite image, such that the image of \(H\) does not contain the image of \(x\). In this paper, the author first gives an example showing the existence of finitely generated metabelian groups that are not residually finite with respect to conjugacy. Indeed, he notes that a counter example showing this was constructed by him and Kargapolov in 1973 and was not published elsewhere. The author also proves that the Baumslag-Solitar group \(B(p,1)\) with \(p\) a prime, is not residually finite with respect to occurence in cyclic subgroups.
