The author considers the set \(\mathcal{S}\) of compact rotationally symmetric surfaces with circular boundary in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) and proves that any surface in \(\mathcal{S}\) with almost constant mean curvature must be a nearly spherical cap. The article is composed of 4 sections. Section 1 is an introduction that recalls Theorem 1.1 (from [\textit{C. Delaunay}, ``Sur la surface de révolution dont la courbure moyenne est constante'', J. Math. Pure. Appl. 1, 309--314 (1841)]): any surface in \(\mathcal{S}\) with constant mean curvature must be a spherical cap. The section also states the main Theorem 1.2. Section 2 derives equations for the rotating curve of surfaces in \(\mathcal{S}\) with respect to their mean curvature function. Sections 3 and 4 are respectively a proof of Theorem 1.1. and Theorem 1.2.
