    Let \(Ax=b\) be a possibly singular system, and \(A=H+S\) be a splitting into the Hermitean and the skew-Hermitean part. The matrix \(H\) is supposed to be positive semi-definite, and the iteration \[ \begin{aligned} &(\alpha I+H) x^{k+1/2} = (\alpha I-S) x^{k} +b, \\ &(\alpha I+S) x^{k+1} = (\alpha I-H) x^{k+1/2} +b \end{aligned} \] is studied, where \(\alpha\) is a positive number.
