The authors study the following 1-biharmonic equation \[ \begin{cases} \varepsilon^2 \Delta_1^2u-\varepsilon\Delta_1u+V(x)\frac{u}{|u|}=K(x)f(u)& \text{in } \mathbb{R}^N,\\ u\in\operatorname{BL}(\mathbb{R}^N), \end{cases} \] where \(N\geq 3\), \(\varepsilon>0\) is a positive parameter and the functions \(V,K\colon \mathbb{R}^N\to\mathbb{R}\), \(f\colon\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) fulfill appropriate assumptions. Based on the concentration-compactness principle along with the properties of the related Nehari manifold, the authors show existence and concentration results of corresponding ground state solutions to the problem above.
