The intention of the paper is to improve two selection theorems proved by \textit{R. Frankiewicz} et al. [Bull. Acad. Pol. Sci., Sér. Sci. Math. 30, 33--40 (1982; Zbl 0549.28013)]. These are two theorems on measurable selections in the more general settings than the well-known Kuratowski and Ryll-Nardzewski theorem. They are deduced with the help of a theorem on point-finite families of null sets with respect to a perfect measure. The latter theorem is proved under the assumption that the cardinality of the family is less than the least measurable cardinal and thus the same assumption concerning the cardinality of the image \(F(X)\) of the considered set-valued mapping \(F\) is assumed. The author follows the same strategy and claims to generalize the results without the need of the assumption on the cardinality of the point-finite family, and thus also concerning the images \(F(X)\) in the two applications to selections. The presented proof of the statement on the point-finite families without the cardinality assumption is incomplete. Moreover, we noticed that if \(\mu\) is the two-valued measure on \((X,2^X)\) which witnesses that the cardinal of \(X\) is measurable, it satisfies assumptions of the statement and gives a counterexample for the improved result for the family of singletons in \(X\).
