Let \(\mathfrak{R}\) be a positive measure on \([0,1]\) and \(\mathcal{R}\) a Poisson random measure on \([0,\infty)\times(0,1]\) with intensity \(dt\otimes \frac{1}{y}\mathfrak{R}dy\). With this notation, the authors are interested in the following analog of the Fisher-Kolmogorov-Petrovskii-Piskounov (F-KPP) equation \[ du_{t} = \frac{1}{2}\Delta u_{t} dt +\mathfrak{r} u_{t}(1-u_{t}dt+\int\limits_{(0,1]}yu_{t-}(1-u_{t-})\mathcal{R}(dt,dy),~u(0,x)=u_{0}(x), \] for \((t,x)\in[0,\infty)\times \mathbb{R}\), where \(\mathfrak{R}=\mathfrak{R}(\{0\})\). They show that the wave speed, \(\mathfrak{s}>0\) of the equation is given through \[ \frac{\mathfrak{s}}{2} = \int\limits_{[0,1]}\log(1+y)\frac{1}{y}\mathfrak{R}(dy). \] The martingale solution, \(u_{t}\), to their F-KPP equation satisfies \[ E^{\delta}[(1-u_{t})^{\mathbf{x}}] = E^{\delta}[(1-u_{0})^{\mathbf{C}_{t}}] \] where \(\mathbf{C}_{t}\) is a \(\mu_{\delta}\)-\textit{coordinated} branching Brownian motion (CBBM) process started at \(\mathbf{x}\), and \(E^{\delta}[f]=E[f\vert S_{\delta}]\) is a conditional expectation conditioned on the event \(S_{\delta}=\{(t_{j},y_{j})\}_{j\in \mathbb{N}}\subseteq [0,\infty)\times (\delta,1]\). The \(\mu_{\delta}\)-CBBM process differs from a usual BBM in the branching mechanism. All particles undergo Brownian movement, but then with a given rate a \(k\)-tuple of them gets selected and all \(k\) particles produce a single offspring (without dying). There are two possible types of reproduction events: \textit{large} with probability \(y_{j}^{k}(1-y_{j})^{n-k}\) and \textit{small} taking place with rate \(\int_{[0,\delta]}y^{k}(1-y)^{n-k}\frac{1}{y}\mu_{\delta}^{-}(dy),\) where \(n\) is the number of particles alive at time \(t\), \(\delta\) is parameter defining ``small'', and \(\mu_{\delta}=(\mu_{\delta}^{-},\mu_{\delta}^{+})\), where \(\mu_{\delta}^{-}(A):=\mu_{\delta}(A\cap[0,\delta])\), \(\mu_{\delta}^{+}(A):=\mu_{\delta}(A\cap(\delta,1])\), is the measure in the definition of the process.
