It is known that there are only four arithmetic two-bridge links in the \(3\)-sphere \(S^3\), among them the figure eight knot. The canonical component of the character variety of the figure eight knot complement is well known to be an elliptic curve. In this paper the author studies the canonical components of the \(\mathrm{SL}_2 (\mathbb{C})\)-character varieties of the other three arithmetic two-bridge links. These also are (singular) conic bundles over \(\mathcal{P}^1\). More precisely, he characterizes the desingularizations of the canonical components of the \(\mathrm{SL}_2 (\mathbb{C})\)-character varieties of the arithmetic two-bridge links in terms of the number of blow-ups from the obtained minimal models by computing the Euler characteristics of the projective models.
