Let \(N\) be a natural number and \(a\) be a strictly positive real number, and \(\mathbb S^N(a)\) be the \(N\)-dimensional sphere of radius \(a\). Let \(\alpha>0\) and \(\Gamma^{n}_\alpha=(\mathbb R^n,\gamma_\alpha^n)\) be the \(n\)-dimensional Gaussian space with variance \(\alpha^2\). The purpose of the author is to show the convergence of eigenvalues of the Laplacian operator on \(\mathbb S^N(a_N)\) to those on \(\Gamma_\alpha^n\) together with the convergence of the composition of \(p_n^N\), the projection from \(\mathbb R^{N+1}\) onto \(\mathbb R^n\), and compatible eigenfunctions on \(\mathbb S^N(a_N)\) to eigenfunctions on \(\Gamma_\alpha^n\) as \(N\) goes to infinity when \(a_N(N-1)^{-1}\) converges to \(\alpha.\)
