The purpose of this paper is to find the asymptotic behavior of the trace of the pseudoinverse of the Laplacian matrix related with the square lattice, as \(n\to\infty\). The most precise calculation possible within the framework set up in \textit{A. Boysal} et al. [Anal. Math. 48, No. 3, 649--682 (2022; Zbl 1513.41042)] in the case of the square lattice are used and lead to formulas, which contain Catalan's constant and Clausen's function. In certain cases, tr\((\mathcal{L}^+)\) arises as the only nontrivial term in the calculation of intrinsic graph invariants such as the Kirchhoff index and the tau constant.
