    Let \(\psi(x)=\sum_{p^m\leq x}\log p\) and \(\pi(x)=\sum_{p\leq x}1\). In the paper under review, the authors prove that for any real \(x\geq 2\), \[ |\psi(x)-x|\leq 9.39x(\log x)^{1.515}e^{-0.8274\sqrt{\log x}}, \] and \[ |\pi(x)-\mathrm{li}(x)|\leq 9.59 x(\log x)^{0.515}e^{-0.8274\sqrt{\log x}}. \] They also obtain estimates of the form \(A(\log x)^Be^{-C\log^{3/5}x(\log\log x)^{-1/5}}\) for the differences \(|\psi(x)-x|\) and \(|\pi(x)-\mathrm{li}(x)|\) by using an explicit Vinogradov-Korobov zero-free region for the Riemann zeta function.
