Let \(\Gamma\) be the full modular group \(\mathrm{SL}(2, \mathbb{Z})\) and suppose that \(\mathbb{H}^*\) is the set of all primitive cusp forms \(f\) of even integral weight \(k \geq 2\) for \(\Gamma\). The main contribution of the paper under review is to give asymptotic formulas for the second moment of Fourier coefficients of the triple product \(L\)-function \(L(s, f \otimes f \otimes f)\) and the related \(L\)-function \(L(s, \mathrm{sym}^2 f \otimes f)\) attached to \(f\) on average. There are many recent papers about the moment problem and clearly this paper improves previous results that exist in the literature. The proofs are based on calculations with analytic number theory tools.
