Let \(M=G/H\) be a homogeneous space with a reductive action of the group \(G\) and a fixed reductive \(\operatorname{Ad}(H)\)-invariant decomposition \(\mathfrak g=\mathfrak h\oplus\mathfrak m\). If \(M\) admits a \(G\)-invariant spin structure, then \(G\) acts on the spinor fields, and the parallel spinors of the Ambrose-Singer connection associated to \(G/H\) are precisely the \(G\)-invariant spinors. These are equivalent to \(H\)-invariant elements of the spin representation, which can be computed using techniques from representation theory. The authors claim that ``there is no systematic study of such spinors on homogeneous spaces, although they appear naturally in literature''. The main goal of the article is, via the approach mentioned above, to study \(G\)-invariant spinors and their relation with geometric structures, for each of the nine ways to present a sphere as a homogeneous space \(G/H\). More precisely, for each realization, the authors compute the space of these spinors and find the equation they satisfy in terms of the Levi-Civita connection, and several properties of the geometric structure of the manifold are deduced. This long and detailed article is full of other calculations that might be useful for people interested in spin geometry, geometric structures, as well as in the geometry of homogeneous spaces.
