Levi-flat CR structures on compact Lie groups (Q6114469)

The subject of this paper is a generalization (and a new proof) of a result by \textit{H. V. Pittie} [Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Math. Sci. 98, No. 2--3, 117--152 (1988; Zbl 0713.57023)] regarding the computation of the Dolbeault cohomology for a compact Lie group G endowed with a left-invariant complex structure, via the Dolbeault cohomology induced on a ``well'' chosen maximal torus of $G$. This is the statement of Theorem 1: $G$ is now a compact Lie group of odd dimension, endowed with a left-invariant Levi-flat CR structure, of CR codimension 1. The additional assumption of the theorem, called the (DC) condition, is also satisfied in the case of a left-invariant complex structure. The paper makes use of a result of [\textit{J.-Y. Charbonnel} and \textit{H. Ounaïes-Khalgui}, J. Lie Theory 14, No. 1, 165--198 (2004; Zbl 1058.22016)].
