A novel model for sustainable waste collection arc routing problem: Pareto-based algorithms (Q6115587)

The paper deals with the problem of sustainable waste management from three points of view which are interconnected: 1. economic; 2. social environmental; 3. technical. The authors provide a survey of models devoted to these problems, which have appeared up to now in the literature and come to conclusion that that there is at present no study addressing an applicable waste collection arc routing problem under stochastic demand. The paper is a proposal of such mathematical model together with all relevant assumptions and solution methods. The authors present also some experience cocerning sensitivity of the models and of required volume of computations and CPU-time. The concluding part of the paper summarises the obtained results and outlines possibilities of future research.
