    If \({\mathbb K} \) is a number field of degree \(n\) over the rational numbers with \({\mathbb Z}_{\mathbb K}\) its ring of integers, let \(Nm_{{\mathbb K}/{\mathbb Q}}\) denote the norm map. Define \[ M({\mathbb K}) = \sup_{\alpha \in {\mathbb K}} \inf_{\beta \in {\mathbb Z}_{\mathbb K}} |Nm_{{\mathbb K}/{\mathbb Q}}(\alpha-\beta)| \] to be the Euclidean minimum norm of the number field. The field has signature \((r,s)\) if it has \(r\) real embeddings and \(s\) pairs of complex embeddings with \(n = r+2s\); let \(D_{\mathbb K}\) be the absolute value of the discriminant of the field; and let \(\gamma_{n}\) be the Hermite constant in dimension \(n\). The authors improve a bound given by \textit{E. Bayer-Fluckiger} et al. [J. Number Theory 167, 88--103 (2016; Zbl 1419.11096)] based on an idea of \textit{C. T. McMullen} [J. Am. Math. Soc. 18, No. 3, 711--734 (2005; Zbl 1132.11034)] by showing the following. For any positive integer \(a \leq r+s,\) \(M({\mathbb K}) \leq 2^{-n} n^{\frac{-ns}{2a}} \gamma_n^{\frac{n(s+a)}{2a}}D_{\mathbb K}^{\frac{s+a}{2a}}.\)
