The monomial functional equation for connected Lie groups (Q6130598)

The authors continue their investigation done with \textit{J.-P. Schneiders} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 466, No. 2, 1400--1409 (2018; Zbl 1393.39015)] by studying the Cauchy functional equation on connected Lie groups rather than Euclidean spaces. They characterize the regular solutions of the monomial functional equation. They also present an alternative version of this equation and give more insight into the regular solutions of the so-called mixed differences equation. Furthermore, they show that the mixed difference equation does not have any purely distributional solution.
