\textit{B. Ṣahin} [Acta Appl. Math. 109, No. 3, 829--847 (2010; Zbl 1193.53097)] introduced the notion of conformal Riemannian maps as a generalization of Riemannian maps between Riemannian manifolds. \par In the paper under review, the authors consider conformal Riemannian maps from a Sasakian manifold to a Riemannian manifold and conversely, respectively. Examples of such maps are given. If \(F\) is a conformal anti-invariant Riemannian map from a Sasakian manifold \((M,\varphi,\xi,\eta,g_M)\) to a Riemannian manifold \((N, g_N)\) a necessary and sufficient condition for ker \(F_*\) to define a totally geodesic foliation on \(M\) is obtained. The authors study horizontally homothetic conformal Riemannian maps \(F\) from Sasakian manifolds to Riemannian manifolds and investigate corresponding problems for conformal anti-invariant Riemannian maps from a Riemannian manifold \((M,g_M)\) to a Sasakian manifold \((N,\varphi,\xi,\eta,g_N)\).
