The present paper delves into the classification of hypersurfaces (with assumptions) in the Kähler manifolds \(\mathrm{S}^2\times\mathrm{S}^2\), \(\mathbb{H}\times\mathbb{H}\) where \(\mathrm{S}^2\) stands for the two-sphere and \(\mathbb{H}\) for the hyperbolic plane. \textit{M. Okumura}, [Tôhoku Math. J. (2) 18, 74--102 (1966; Zbl 0145.18702)] proved that a real hypersurface in a Kähler manifold is a contact hypersurface if, and only if, there is a nowhere-vanishing smooth function \(\rho\) such that the shape operator \(A\) of \(M\) and the induced almost contact structure \(\phi\) are related by \[ A\phi+\phi A=2\rho \phi. \] The present paper's main result is to classify real compact hypersurfaces in \(\mathrm{S}^2\times\mathrm{S}^2\) and \(\mathbb H\times \mathbb H\) satisfying this equation. The paper furnishes enough contextualization for the problem with helpful references, and the proof uses standard techniques in the area of hypersurface theory.
