A non-central Lie ideal of a ring is a subset of the ring that is closed under addition and multiplication by elements of the ring, and satisfies the property that for any two elements in the ideal, their Lie bracket (the commutator) is also contained within the ideal. In other words, if \( R \) is a ring and \( I \) is a subset of \( R \), then \( I \) is a non-central Lie ideal of \( R \) if for all \( x, y \) in \( I \), the Lie bracket \( [x, y] = xy - yx \) is also in \( I \), and there exists an element \( z \) in \( R \) such that \( z \) is not in the center of \( R \) and \( zx \) is not equal to \( xz \) for some \( x \) in \( I \). Let \(S\) be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2 and let \(L\) be a non-central Lie ideal of \(S\). Suppose \(F\) is a generalized skew derivation of \(S\) such that \(F(\eta \omega)\pm F(\omega)F(\eta)\pm \omega \eta \in Z(S)\) for all \(\eta, \omega \in L\). In this paper, the authors provide the following consequence: \(F(\eta)=a\eta, a \in C\) or \(S=M_2(C)\), where \(C\) is a finite field of characteristic 3.
