In this paper, one of the extremal problems of the theory of approximation of functional classes by linear methods has been solved, namely, the question of approximation of classes of \(( \psi, \beta )\)-differentiable functions given on the real axis by three-harmonic Poisson operators has been studied. In particular, the authors have investigated the asymptotic properties of the quantity \[ E(C_{\beta,\infty}^\psi;P_{3,\sigma})_{C}=\sup_{f\in C_{\beta,\infty}^\psi}\Vert f(\cdot)-P_{3,\sigma}(f;\cdot)\Vert_{C} \] for \(\sigma\to\infty\) and \(\psi\in A_0\). In the theorem, the authors have managed to establish the estimates for quantity (1), which in some important cases are asymptotically exact equalities and provide the solution of the Kolmogorov-Nikol'skii problem for three-harmonic Poisson operators \(P_{3, \sigma }(f; x)\) on the classes \({\widehat{C}}_{\beta ,\infty }^{\psi }\). It should be noted that the authors have analyzed in detail the cases of different rates of convergence to zero of the sequences \(\psi(k)\) and have written the results for each case. The results obtained in the article continue the research carried out in the works of Stepanets O.I., Rukasov V.I., Chaichenko S.O., Dzimistarishvili M.G., Ostrovska O.V. etc.
