The authors call a partially ordered topological space \((X, \tau, \leq)\) \textit{quasi-topological well-ordered}, denoted q-TWO, if every nonempty proper open subset of \(X\) has a least element. The modifier ``quasi'' is dropped if, additionally, \(X\) has a least element. Several examples are given and basic properties of such spaces are studied. It is shown that spaces which are not (q-)TWO may have (q-)TWO subspaces. The TWO property is hereditary to nonempty subsets which are open or down-sets, and is preserved by monotone continuous surjections. A partially ordered topological space \((X, \tau, \leq)\) is \textit{basically well-ordered} (BWO) if there exists a basis \(\mathcal{B}\) for \(\tau\) such that every \(B \in \mathcal{B}\) has a least element. They show that TWO implies BWO and note that the lower limit topology on the real line shows that BWO does not imply TWO. The authors define and study a one-point TWO extension of \((X, \tau, \leq)\) and relate TWO spaces to graph theory.
