A complete Riemannian manifold \((M^n, g)\) is called quasi-Einstein if there exists a smooth function \(f\) on \(M\) satisfying the equation \(\mathrm{Ric} + \mathrm{Hess}\ f -\frac1{m} df\otimes df = \lambda g\), for some constants \(0<m\le\infty\) and \(\lambda\in\mathbb{R}\). The author investigates quasi-Einstein manifiolds admitting a closed conformal vector field \(X\). This means the smooth vector field \(X\) satisfies \(\nabla _YX=\psi Y\), for all smooth vector fields \(Y\) on \(M\), where \(\psi\) is a smooth function on \(M\). Some rigidity results for such manifiolds of constant scalar curvature are presented. It is also shown that quasi-Einstein manifolds admitting a closed conformal vector field can be conformally changed to constant scalar curvature almost everywhere.
