Let \(\lambda=(\lambda_{1} \geq \lambda_{2} \geq \ldots \geq \lambda_{s})\) be a partition of \(n\), where \(n=|\lambda|=\lambda_{1}+\lambda_{2}+\ldots +\lambda_{s}\). If \(m\) si a positive integer, the Hurwitz number \(h_{m,\lambda}\) is defined as \(1/n!\), times the number of sequences of transpositions \(\sigma_{1}, \ldots , \sigma_{m} \in S_{n}\) such that the product \(\sigma_{1}\cdot \ldots \cdot \sigma_{m}\) has the cyclic type \(\lambda\). In the paper under review, the author studies an analog of Hurwitz numbers for the reflection groups \(B_{n}\) and \(D_{n}\). Reflections in the groups replace transpositions and conjugacy classes, the cyclic types.
